About the Program - The Rickenbacker Woods Foundation Summer Youth Adventure Camp is an engaging and educational summer experience for students entering 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades.

Our camp blends hands-on learning, creativity, recreation, cultural enrichment, and social-emotional development into a fun and structured environment designed to help youth grow academically, socially, and emotionally throughout the summer.

Campers participate in exciting STEAM-based activities focused on science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics, wellness, local history, environmental learning, storytelling, teamwork, and innovation — all while building friendships, confidence, leadership skills, and curiosity about the world around them.

Each day also includes dedicated Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) activities that help students strengthen communication skills, emotional awareness, teamwork, resilience, and self-confidence.
Our goal is to create a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment where children can learn, explore, create, and thrive.

Mandatory Family Orientation

At Rickenbacker Woods Foundation, we believe strong partnerships between families and camp staff are essential to each child’s success.
All families are required to attend a mandatory orientation session before final acceptance into the program.
During Orientation Families Will:
  • Meet camp directors and counselors
  • Review camp schedules, expectations, and field trip procedures
  • Learn about safety policies and behavioral expectations
  • Understand our Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) approach
  • Have the opportunity to ask questions before camp begins

Why Orientation Matters

Orientation helps create a smooth, positive, and successful camp experience for both families and campers. It allows staff to better understand each child’s needs while ensuring families fully understand program expectations, routines, and supports.
Final acceptance notifications will only be issued after orientation participation.
Orientation dates and additional details will be shared after applications are submitted.
